mDoc is a digital health social enterprise which leverages behavioral science, technology and quality improvement methodologies to provide improve access to quality healthcare for people with chronic health needs. We are seeking knowledgeable project associate to join our team. Our goal is to augment the knowledge and capability of healthcare providers and health consumers to ensure longer, happier and healthier lives across sub-Saharan Africa. mDoc aims to further build capability and to support physicians to provide education and tools to patients to improve self-management. mDoc is conducting a pilot in Ghana to demonstrate the effectiveness and scalability of its TeCLA - ECHO® tele-education model to build the capacity of healthcare workers on NCD care. This pilot will form the foundation for a scale-up to create learning opportunities for clinicians and leaders across Ghana and West Africa.

The position:

mDoc needs knowledgeable and dynamic problem-solvers to be part of the firm through its next stage of development. In this role you will be a part of the team cohort providing direct (virtual and in-person) self-management support services to different cohorts of members. You will be expected to provide supportive oversight to a pilot ensuring the operations are seamless and helping to interface with external stakeholders in and out of the country. Along with the mDoc leadership team, you will cultivate an environment reflecting the values of mDoc Healthcare, including respect for our members and team members. You must be data-driven or willing to be data-driven. Given we are a technology firm; you will use digital tools to work plan, manage projects track, predict our success as well as manage our stakeholders. Also, given mDoc is a startup, there will likely be some fluidity to responsibilities.

The Project Associate will:

  • Assist in implementation of project activities in accordance with the work plan.

  • Use Jira and other technology tools to proactively manage the team's complex plans

  • Lead the daily huddles with the clinical and management team.

  • Prepare administrative documents, collect, and compile inputs to documents as well as analyse financials and develop budgets.

  • Support business development strategies and engagement within specified regions.

  • Collect, compile, and organise background materials, documents and other materials for meetings.

  • Performs reporting as needed; compiles data, and generates reports and decks as needed.

  • Create monthly plans for virtual training needs and plan for resource.

  • Initiates meetings with stakeholders and team, prepares communication to summarise discussions and action items in meetings - internal and client meetings.

  • Manage logistics with external partners and stakeholders for tele-education programs and other efforts.

  • Document meeting discussions and decisions into meeting minutes and follow up on post-meeting action items as designated during project meetings.

  • Conduct reviews of projects for action items and recommend solutions.

  • Provide general assistance to the program and project team(s) as needed.

  • Distribute communications related to program and project plan activities.

  • Schedule meetings for program and project plan activities.

  • Compile and publish weekly project status reports for leadership and project sponsors, project teams and other key project stakeholders.

  • Collaborate and problem solve cross-functionally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Excellent research and analytical abilities and quantitative skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

  • High levels of organization and attention to detail.

  • Sound judgment and initiative and strong work ethic.

  • Ability to multi-task and function in an ever-changing, fast paced startup environment.

  • Ability to work independently in a flexible small-business environment.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Comfort and/or interest in learning how to use technology for project management.

  • Strong affinity for customer service.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to support, communicate, and teach the unique culture and values of mDoc.
