Job Description

We are seeking a purpose-driven, execution-obsessed, and systems-minded Head of Operations to join our senior leadership team and help steer mDoc into its next phase of growth and operational excellence. As Head of Operations, you will be the architect and executor of our operating model, leading cross-functional, geographically disparate teams to ensure our people, processes, and platforms are designed to deliver scalable impact.The ideal candidate is a mission-driven leader with deep operational expertise in service delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and health technology systems. You will work closely with executive leadership to align operations with mDoc’s vision of a healthier, more fulfilled world, delivering high-touch, high-tech self-are experiences that are seamless, cost-effective, and impactful.

You will be the integrator who turns strategy into systems, vision into metrics, and plans into performance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operational Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the design and execution of scalable operational processes to support growth across virtual care delivery, logistics, and member engagement

  • Translate organizational strategy into an actionable operating model with clear KPIs and outcomes.

  • Build, streamline, and optimize programs and processes across coaching, tech, growth, research, and product development, sales and marketing while owning end-to-end service delivery workflows.

  • Lead the evolution of our quality improvement, risk management, and operational excellence systems to help us become a high-reliability organization.

  1. Culture & Team Performance

  • Build and lead high-performing ops teams. Drive training, quality assurance, and workforce planning.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.

  • Help recruit, retain, and grow the right “can-do” talent that thrives in dynamic, mission-driven environments.

  1. Data, Tech & Product Operations

  • Oversee operationalizing of our tech and AI-enabled self-care ecosystem.

  • Ensure tight integration between tech, clinical, and user experience teams to drive engagement and outcomes.

  • Evaluate and implement tools (CRM, EHR, workflow automation) and act as a business stakeholder in tech discussions.

  • Drive comprehensive adoption of data and analytics across team leadership and teams to guide decision-making and surface learnings for scale.

  1. Scale, Sustainability & Risk

  • Operationalize mDoc’s expansion into new regions and service lines with a clear playbook for growth.

  • Optimize unit economics and identify levers to improve margins without compromising quality or mission.

  • Strengthen internal controls and compliance systems to manage operational risk.

  1. Vendor & Partner Management

  • Oversee third-party vendors and ensure performance aligns with SLAs and quality standards.

  1. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

    • Ensure practices comply with geographic regulations, and other digital care regulations.

  2. Risk Management & Crisis Response:

    • Develop contingency plans and lead incident response with legal, security, and clinical teams.

  3. Customer Experience

  • Champion a seamless and compassionate member journey. Build feedback loops between ops and product.


Requirements

  • MBA or Masters in Operations, required

  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience, ideally in health-tech, digital health, or technology-enabled service organizations or consulting firms

  • Strong understanding of digital care models, remote service delivery, and regulatory contexts

  • Experience building teams, systems, and processes from scratch or during scale.

  • Proven experience using data to inform decision-making and improve performance.

  • Expertise in systems thinking, workflow optimization, and tech-tool integration.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
