Key Responsibilities
Health Literacy & Content Development:
● Develop a new oncology clinical and coaching educational curriculum with training and
strategy sessions centered on mDoc’s core values and guiding principles. This should be
macro and micro based on agreed upon oncology therapeutic areas e.g. breast vs cervical
vs colon vs prostate and functionalities e.g. Screening ->prevention-> treatment->
rehabilitation/palliation
● Develop and review curriculum/modules for educational training and refresher purposes,
ensuring content is evidence-based, patient-centered, and accessible on several
platforms.
● Provide expert guidance on the creation of infographics, chatbot scripts and Public Service
Announcements to enhance cancer awareness and self-efficacy.
● Ensure that all educational materials align with best practices in current standards for
oncology care and patient engagement.
● Conduct training sessions of human coaches to solidify medical
foundation/knowledgebase and enhance seamless coaching in collaboration with mDoc’s
chatbot - Kem.
Product Development:
● Work closely with the product manager and broader ML teams to refine the oncology
program and testing features with user-centred design principles.
● Harness the “MLnicial” methodology to drive strategic refinements and improvements to
our approach.
● Provide input on geo coding for NaviHealth.aiTM to augment referrals for screening,
treatment etc.
Assessment & Evaluation:
● Design pre- and post-surveys of members to assess confidence levels in educational and
preventative care objectives, determine self-efficacy, and track behavioral changes in
participants.
● Support data interpretation, validation and provide insights to refine program
interventions.
Lifestyle & Behavioral Interventions:
● Lead the team to develop comprehensive health content, personalized recommendations
on nutrition, fitness, and emotional wellness tailored to individuals at risk of or living with
cancer.
● Ensure that lifestyle modification strategies are culturally relevant, evidence - based, and
actionable for diverse populations.
Digital Health & Referral Support:
● Provide guidance on optimizing work streams of digital platforms (e.g., chatbots) to
facilitate risk assessment, symptom tracking, and treatment adherence.
● Support the development of an efficient referral system, ensuring seamless connections to
oncology specialists and in network healthcare providers.
Project Support & Collaboration:
● Engage in multi-level collaborative efforts with internal and external stakeholders,
including healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, digital health teams and mDoc’s
scientific advisory committee.
● Offer strategic insights to promote the project’s scalability and impact.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
● MD or MBBS with specialization in Medical Oncology, Hematology-Oncology, or
Radiation Oncology.
● Certification: Board certification in Oncology or equivalent accreditation.
● Advanced degree ( MPH, or equivalent) in Public Health, Digital Health, or a related field.
● Minimum 7-10 years of experience in oncology with strength in patient education,
population health and or digital health projects.
● Track record of publications of high-quality research articles in peer-reviewed medical and
oncology journals.
● Expertise in cancer prevention, treatment adherence, and patient self-efficacy
strategies.
● Proven experience developing health education materials and teaching junior trainees.
● Strong understanding of behavioral change models and lifestyle modification strategies
(nutrition, physical activity, emotional well-being).
● Experience with AI or digital health tools is a plus.
● Strong analytical skills, with experience designing pre- and post-intervention
assessments.
● Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex medical information
into engaging, patient-friendly content and training of both human coaches and health
chatbot Kem.
● Experience working in low- and middle-income diverse populations is desirable.
