Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects within scope, budget, and timeline. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage project stakeholders, and implement best practices to ensure that projects are completed successfully. The Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for identifying risks, resolving issues, and driving process improvements to enhance overall project delivery performance.

Along with the mDoc leadership team, you will cultivate an environment reflecting the values of mDoc Healthcare, including respect for our members and team members. You must be data-driven or willing to be data-driven. Given we are a technology firm, you will use digital tools to work, plan, manage projects, track, predict our success as well as manage our stakeholders. Also, given mDoc is a startup, there will likely be some fluidity to responsibilities.


Requirements

  • Project Planning & Strategy

    • Lead the end-to-end project management process, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.

    • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline key milestones, timelines, dependencies, and risk management strategies.

    • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to align project goals with organizational priorities and business objectives.

  • Team Leadership & Coordination

    • Lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

    • Coordinate with team members from various departments to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project components.

    • Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring clear communication and that project deliverables meet their needs.

    • Drive delivery and ownership, by ensuring team members and tasks do not fall through the cracks.

    • Ensuring the highest level of organization and preparation day-to-day and week-to-week, while tracking the broader timeline and deliverables.

  • Budget & Resource Management

    • Oversee project budgets, ensuring that costs are kept within approved limits and financial goals are met.

    • Manage resource allocation, ensuring that the right people with the right skills are assigned to the project, and adjust as needed to address any resource constraints.

    • Track project costs and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding budget status, variances, and cost optimization strategies.

  • Risk & Issue Management

    • Proactively identify potential project risks (technical, operational, financial) and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.

    • Address issues and roadblocks promptly, ensuring timely resolution to keep the project on track.

    • Escalate risks and issues to senior management when necessary, providing recommendations and solutions for resolution.

  • Project Execution & Monitoring

    • Ensure projects are executed according to the approved plan, monitoring progress and adjusting course as necessary to meet deadlines and quality standards.

    • Use project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) to track tasks, milestones, and dependencies, ensuring team members have clear direction.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, ensuring that all project information is available for review by stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

    • Communicate project status, progress, and risks to internal and external stakeholders through regular updates, meetings, and written reports.

    • Provide executive-level project reports, highlighting key accomplishments, challenges, and next steps, as well as ensuring alignment with company priorities.

    • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring satisfaction and fostering collaboration.

  • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

    • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and are aligned with project objectives and customer expectations.

    • Conduct post-project reviews to assess performance, document lessons learned, and implement improvements for future projects.

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management office (PMO) to enhance project delivery processes, methodologies, and tools.

  • Change Management

    • Manage and communicate changes to the project scope, schedule, or resources in a controlled manner, ensuring proper documentation and stakeholder alignment.

    • Oversee change control processes, ensuring that changes are reviewed, approved, and communicated effectively to all involved parties.
