Position Description
mPharma is seeking a dynamic individual with exceptionally high work standards to join our team for an internship opportunity. The Finance Intern will work closely with our finance team to support the management of our accounts receivable and credit control processes.
You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in financial operations, risk assessment, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. This internship will provide valuable exposure to credit control practices, financial analysis, and contribute to your professional development in the field of finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing accurate claims and accounts receivable information/records.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve invoicing issues and disputes.
- Update and reconcile financial data related to customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provide support in preparing credit control reports and recommendations for management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve credit control processes and implement best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and comply with relevant data protection regulations.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or recently graduated).
- Basic knowledge of financial principles and credit control procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial statements and credit reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
- Prior experience or coursework in credit control, accounts receivable, or collections will be a plus.
