Position Description

mPharma Ghana is currently looking for a Community Nurse to join our Primary Care team. The role will involve working in our community-based preventive health program. The program aims to enhance the health and health literacy of individuals and communities by focusing on preventing the onset or progression of diseases. This is achieved by conducting periodic screenings and promoting healthy lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic health screenings such as assessing blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and BMI for individuals in the community.
  • Counsel clients on screening outcomes, and medical conditions, and provide general health education to improve health literacy and encourage healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Ensure that all data collected are properly recorded into the appropriate database.
  • Appropriate and timely referral of clients as required
  • Work collaboratively with a small team to increase registration and footfall to community pharmacies by promoting the availability of healthcare services.
  • Participate in pop-up clinics held at community pharmacies
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local community organisations, clinics, and hospitals to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services.

  • Good knowledge of disease conditions and their management.

  • Works effectively as a team member and promotes collaboration within and outside the immediate team.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association
  • Current Practicing License.
  • At least 1 year of work experience.

Location: Ghana (Greater Accra, Northern, Bono, Ahafo & Eastern Regions)
