The Specialist Workplace Services is responsible for repairs and maintenance to the facilities of the site they are assigned to and, if necessary, providing support to other sites. To evaluate daily the safety of the equipment they are responsible for, the correct operation of equipment, and the services available to the personnel who work within the facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Executor of repairs to failures in air conditioning, electricity, plumbing, minor conservation repairs, hydro sanitary equipment such as flushometers, with schedule availability. Daily monitoring of the facilities to prevent changes of lamps, contacts, switches, monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance of air conditioning equipment, etc., repairs, assembly and disassembly of furniture and activities assigned by the supervisor in charge.
Technical skills
1. Knowledge in Electricity:
·Installation and repair of electrical systems.
·Knowledge of regulations and electrical codes.
·Diagnosis and solution of electrical problems.
2. Plumbing:
·Installation and repair of plumbing systems.
·Knowledge of drinking water and sewage systems.
·Maintenance of pumps and heating systems.
3. Mechanics:
·Maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
·Diagnosis and solution of mechanical problems.
·Knowledge of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems.
4. Carpentry and Masonry:
·Structural and furniture repairs.
·Installation of doors, windows and other structural elements.
·Ability to work with various materials (wood, metal, concrete).

1. Troubleshooting:
·Ability to quickly diagnose and solve problems.
·Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
2. Communication:
·Skills in communicating problems and solutions to other team members and supervisors.
·Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with other departments.
3. Time Management:
·Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
·Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
REQUIREMENTS
• Easy to speak, effective in oral and written communication, able to recognize instructions and anticipate needs, organized, proactive.
• Manual skills, handling of all types of mechanical and electrical tools, use of measuring instruments, such as multimeter, manifold with pressure gauges, thermometers, distance meters, desirable.
• Basic computer skills, MS Word, Excel are required.
• Knowledge of precision air conditioning, direct expansion, chilled water pumping systems, variable frequency drives, electrical panels of various capacities, electrical maintenance, lighting, emergency plant operation, basic plumbing, flushometers, basic skills/knowledge in conservation and finishes, maintenance of institutional image.
• Availability to travel, full schedule availability.
Education and Certifications
1. Formal Education:
- Complete secondary education or equivalent.
- Courses and technical training programs in specific maintenance areas.
Experience
• Previous experience in maintenance roles, generally 1-3 years.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Knowledge in the use of maintenance tools and equipment.
Other requirements
1. Physical Condition:
- Ability to perform physical work and stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
2. Availability:
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and on-call.
- Ability to respond to emergencies outside of business hours.
