Parenting for Lifelong Health (PLH) is looking for a motivated and socially-committed individual to serve as the fundraising-focused trustee on PLH’s trustee board. The Fundraising Trustee will provide strategic oversight and advice to enhance PLH’s fundraising and resource mobilisation efforts, ensuring financial sustainability and growth. Examples of support the Fundraising Trustee could provide include: Supporting the development and oversight of a fundraising strategy aligned with PLH’s mission and long-term sustainability goals. Identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities, including grants, philanthropy, and corporate partnerships. Supporting the board and executive team in diversifying income sources and strengthening financial resilience. Providing guidance on ethical fundraising practices and compliance with relevant regulations. Acting as an advocate for PLH’s fundraising efforts, engaging with donors, funders, and stakeholders. Assisting in developing compelling funding proposals and impact reports to attract and retain supporters. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with governing documents and UK charity law, contributing to strategy and oversight, acting as an ambassador, attending board meetings, and supporting risk management for fundraising. Time commitment: Trustees are expected to attend quarterly board meetings (virtual or in-person) and contribute additional time; estimated 6–10 hours per month. Term and remuneration: three-year term, renewable; voluntary role with reasonable expenses reimbursed. Desired qualifications: experience in fundraising strategy, grant writing, or donor relations; strong network within philanthropy, institutional funding, or corporate partnerships; understanding of ethical fundraising standards and compliance; passion for PLH’s mission.
