About the role

The Impact & Performance Management Manager will play a critical role in helping Peepul achieve measurable improvements in teaching and learning at scale. The role will strengthen program quality and delivery effectiveness by designing and driving performance management systems that enable data-driven decision-making, cross-state execution, and continuous improvement.

In addition to supporting program delivery, the associate/analyst will contribute to Peepul’s organizational strategy—helping prepare for future growth through new state entry, stronger internal systems, and enhanced cross-state learning.

This is a high-ownership role that combines analysis, problem-solving, and on-ground execution. It is well-suited to individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, want to bridge strategy with delivery, and are motivated by the challenge of systemic education reform.


Responsibilities would include (but not be limited to):

Performance Management and Analytics:
  • Design and operationalize performance management frameworks and tools across programs and states.

  • Monitor program delivery against benchmarks, flag risks, and recommend timely course corrections.

  • Analyze program and system-level data to generate actionable insights that strengthen design and execution.

  • Produce high-quality dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior leadership, government partners, and donors.

Strategic support and problem-solving:

  • Conduct landscape analyses, scenario modeling, and due diligence to inform organizational decisions (e.g., new state entry, partnerships, donor strategy).

  • Capture and codify best practices, processes, and lessons learned to strengthen organizational knowledge.

  • Provide thought partnership to the Director of Impact, CEO, CAO, and state leadership in aligning priorities and driving delivery goals.

Organizational strategy and execution:

  • Support leadership in developing and tracking organizational priorities in line with Peepul’s future strategy.

  • Contribute to the design of internal processes and capabilities (e.g., talent systems, governance rhythms, knowledge management) that prepare Peepul for scale.

  • Coordinate cross-state learning and organizational projects to ensure they are well-structured, timely, and aligned to strategic goals.

Execution and delivery:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (MEL, technology, programmes) to ensure smooth roll-out of central systems and processes.

  • Drive specific strategic projects and partnerships from planning through execution, ensuring clarity of milestones and accountability.


Requirements

  • Education: Graduation from a top-tier institution with strong academic background. A master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields, including management, economics, social sciences, and public policy is highly preferred.
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, project management, or similar roles and preferred experience with the social impact sector or working with government stakeholders. Familiarity with education systems and public institutions desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and comfort with tools such as Power BI, STATA, or SPSS.
  • Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling presentations and reports for diverse audiences. Reliable and organized; able to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistently to deadlines. Collaborative, open, and respectful—able to build trust and contribute positively to team culture. Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and alignment with Peepul’s mission of enabling teachers and improving student learning outcomes at scale.
