About the role
As an HR Associate, you will support the HR team in executing day-to-day HR operations and administrative processes at Peepul. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is keen to build a strong foundation in HR by gaining hands-on exposure across recruitment, onboarding, documentation, and employee engagement.
Working closely with senior HR team members, the HR Associate will assist in implementing HR processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth coordination across stakeholders.
Responsibilities would include (but not limited to):
Recruitment and Selection
Support the recruitment process by managing candidate data on the ATS platform (Zoho) and ensuring records are updated accurately
Assist in coordinating interview schedules, telephonic discussions, demos, and assessments
Support end-to-end coordination for School hiring and assist with Programme hiring requirements as needed
Ensure timely follow-ups with candidates and internal stakeholders to support closure of open roles within defined timelines
Coordinate with recruitment partners by sharing applications, scheduling interviews, and tracking progress
Assist with outreach activities such as posting roles on job portals, updating job descriptions on Zoho, and coordinating with the Comms team on role announcements
Support the reference check process for candidates at the offer stage
Employee Onboarding and Induction
Assist in planning and scheduling induction and orientation sessions for new joiners
Support pre-joining coordination with Finance and IT teams for email ID creation, system allocation, and joining-day readiness
Support post-joining onboarding activities, including sharing policies, coordinating appointment letter details with Finance, and assisting with first-day formalities
Assist with background verification processes in line with organizational guidelines
Documentation and Data management
Maintain and update HR records, including employee master data, job descriptions, and internal trackers
Support updating employee details on the Peepul website and maintaining the organizational chart
Assist in generating routine recruitment reports and other ad-hoc HR data required by internal stakeholders
Ensure accurate data entry and responsible handling of employee information, always maintaining confidentiality.
Employee Engagement
Support the HR team in planning and coordinating employee engagement initiatives such as surveys, team activities, and celebrations
Assist in scheduling employee interactions and feedback touchpoints
Provide administrative support for internal HR communications and engagement-related logistics
Qualifications and Role Requirements:
At Peepul, we seek talented professionals passionate about driving educational transformation and making a positive impact. We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications and meet the role requirements:
Educational Background: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline.
Work Experience: We value both professional and personal experience. Candidates with at least 1 year of Human Resources work experience in development sector or otherwise. Some prior experience in managing employee life cycle, excellent planning skills and systems mindset is preferred.
Other Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and great at prioritising the most important tasks. Knowledge of MS Office and ATS software and tools, including MS Team, Outlook, OneDrive, Zoho etc.
Language Proficiency: English and Hindi
