Role Summary:

The Part-Time Dentist at Penda Health will provide high-quality dental care and promote oral health among patients. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a range of oral health conditions while ensuring exceptional patient experience and adherence to clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, diagnose dental conditions, and develop effective treatment plans.

  • Perform a range of clinical dental procedures to restore and maintain oral health.

  • Provide patient-centered education on preventive care and oral hygiene.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and ethical dental care.

  • Ensure compliance with infection control, regulatory, and quality standards.

  • Stay current with advancements in dental techniques and practices.

  • Mentor and support junior dental staff to foster professional growth.

  • Contribute to community outreach and initiatives that promote oral health awareness.

Key requirements and attributes

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized institution.

  • Valid registration and practicing license with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB).

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a dental practice.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and teamwork abilities.

  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth, ethical practice, and patient safety.
