Role Summary:
The Logistics Assistant supports the effective flow of medical and non-medical supplies across all Penda Health facilities. This role ensures accurate receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods in compliance with logistics procedures, contributing to uninterrupted patient care and operational efficiency. Success in this role means zero stock variances, timely deliveries, and an organized, compliant warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
Receive, verify, store, and dispatch deliveries to medical centers in accordance with schedules.
Inventory Management & Data Accuracy
Maintain accurate records of stock movement, delivery notes, and transport logs; support cycle counts and stock takes.
Logistics Coordination
Prepare dispatch documents, coordinate with transport providers, and report discrepancies promptly.
Compliance & Safety
Follow Penda’s logistics and safety procedures, maintaining a clean warehouse and supporting audits.
Culture & Collaboration
Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and respect while contributing to a positive, high-performance culture.
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have…
- A Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage).
- Interest in pursuing professional certification such as CPSP-K or CIPS is desirable.
- Internship, attachment, or up to 1 year of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain support.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and/or MS Excel is an added advantage.
