<div> <div> <div>Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer</div> <div>May 22, 2025</div> </div> <div> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Kampala, with 30% travel</p> <p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Senior MEL Officer</p> <p>We’re hiring a MEL Officer to help us measure, learn from, and improve the impact of our work in Uganda. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong data and analytical skills to support evidence-based decision making across our school network and system strengthening programmes.</p> <p><strong>Your role</strong></p> <p>You’ll support the design and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems that track student outcomes, school performance, and the impact of our partnerships. From collecting and analysing data to training school staff on tools like SchoolTool+, you’ll help ensure that our work is informed by reliable evidence and focused on driving real-world change.</p> <p><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></p> <p>We’re looking for someone with at least two years’ experience in MEL, preferably in the education or NGO sector. You’ll have strong skills in data collection, analysis (including Excel and ideally R), and a passion for using data to improve outcomes for students—especially the most marginalised.
