<div> <div> <div>Chief Programmes Officer</div> <div>January 16, 2025</div> </div> <div> <p><strong>Chief Programmes Officer (CPO)</strong></p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Any PEAS country of operation (Uganda, Zambia, Ghana, UK) with a preference for Africa-based candidates</p> <p><strong>Salary:</strong> £67,000 – £78,000 per year, dependent on experience and location</p> <p><strong>Contract:</strong> Full-time, permanent</p> <p><strong>Reports to:</strong> CEO</p> <p><strong>Application deadline:</strong> Rolling basis</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>PEAS is seeking an exceptional <strong>Chief Programmes Officer (CPO)</strong> to join our <strong>Global Strategic Management Team</strong> and drive our mission forward. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CPO will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education for hundreds of thousands of young people across <strong>Uganda, Zambia, and Ghana</strong>. The CPO is one of two people who can deputise for the CEO.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li> <strong>Oversee PEAS’ school network:</strong> Ensure our 38+ schools provide high-quality, inclusive, and sustainable education.</li> <li> <strong>Scale our government partnerships:</strong> Strengthen collaboration with Ministries of Education to improve over 300 government partner schools and expand PEAS’ impact.</li> <li> <strong>Drive innovation:</strong> Explore opportunities in ed-tech and AI to enhance learning outcomes.</li> <li> <strong>Develop strategic partnerships:</strong> Maintain and grow relationships with funders such as FCDO, USAID, and the Mastercard Foundation.</li> <li> <strong>Lead thought leadership:</strong> Guide PEAS’ research agenda and represent the organisation externally.</li> <li> <strong>Organisational leadership:</strong> Inspire and support a high-performing team across multiple countries.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who We Are Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li> <strong>Education expertise</strong> with a strong track record of expanding access to quality education.</li> <li> <strong>7+ years of senior leadership experience</strong> in a fast-growing organisation.</li> <li> <strong>Experience managing diverse, multi-country teams</strong> and working with funders/governments.</li> <li><strong>Proven ability to secure and manage strategic funding partnerships.</strong></li> <li><strong>Commitment to PEAS’ values, gender equity, and inclusion.</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p> <p>To apply, please email your <strong>CV and cover letter</strong> to <strong><a href="#">recruitment@peas.org.uk</a></strong>.
