Global Data Officer

PEAS is looking for a Global Data Officer to join our growing Technical Team and strengthen how we use data to improve education outcomes. This is a cross-functional role focused on improving data systems, enabling high-quality analysis, and supporting monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) across PEAS programmes in Uganda, Zambia, and Ghana.

You’ll play a vital role in building tools, dashboards, and data pipelines that unlock real-time insights. You’ll also support external evaluations, reporting, and MEL capacity-building.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining dashboards and data pipelines (using SQL and Python)
• Supporting the rollout of PEAS’ Real Time Learning platform
• Leading analysis to track performance against strategic indicators
• Supporting MEL teams with data tools, training, and quality assurance
• Collaborating on research and external evaluation coordination

Who we’re looking for:

• Degree in computer science, maths, or related field
• Strong skills in Python, SQL and Excel
• At least 2 years’ experience in a data role (or a strong graduate)
• Skilled in data analysis and visualisation
• Strong communicator, highly organised, with attention to detail
• Passionate about using data for impact in education
• Experience with MEL, education, PySpark, or working in Africa is a plus but not essential
