In Odisha, Rocket Learning implements the Asa Kheliba Asa Sikhiba (AKAS) programme in partnership with the Women & Child Development Department, Government of Odisha, working within the ICDS/Anganwadi ecosystem across multiple districts.

Title: Program Manager Operations

Location: Odisha (district-based posting; may include placement in districts other than home district)

Overview - We are currently looking for a Program Manager to work directly with the Program Lead and the senior leadership team. The candidate will be expected to establish, grow and lead relationships with senior officials and stakeholders while being a part of a small, high-performance team with a collaborative work culture.

Key results

  1. Establishing strong connections with district(s) stakeholders.

  2. Become trust advisor on ECCE/ FLN. Enhanced skills of Anganwadi Workers resulting from trainings.

  3. Constant, relevant and meaningful insights from the field.

Key activities

  1. Conducting regular field visits, calling Anganwadi Workers, parents and caregivers.

  2. Communicating regularly with all key stakeholders - CDPOs/ DSWOs/ District Collector's office/ WCD Department officials, etc.

  3. Conducting regular Anganwadi Worker training.

  4. Taking ownership of the projects/workstreams and managing it end-to-end.

  5. Performing other relevant day to day operational tasks.

  6. Developing and maintaining relations with multiple government officials.

Areas of responsibilities

  1. Weekly updates and Quarterly reports.

  2. All communication requirements and protocols.

  3. Districtwide implementation of RL's programs.

  4. Being a team player and supporting the team.

  5. Maintaining accurate documentation and Excel-based dashboards/trackers for program data and reporting.

Critical factors for success

  1. Ability to liaison with government systems on a regular basis.

  2. Ability to take leadership in ambiguous situations, even when unsupervised.

  3. Seamless communication with your managers and colleagues.

  4. Close alignment with RL's core values and principles.

  5. Mission driven, enthusiastic and optimistic - committed to transformation.

  6. 2-3 years of work experience in Operations is mandatory.

  7. Strong documentation skills along with proficiency in Excel (dashboarding) and basic PPT skills - non-negotiable.

  8. Proficiency in Odia (spoken and written) is mandatory.

  9. Should be comfortable and ready for relocation, including deployment away from home district.
