What is Expected of You

As our Business Development Manager, you’ll be a crucial force expanding Sanku’s miller network across Kenya. This isn’t just a job, it’s an opportunity to shape meaningful change by building strong customer relationships, advocating for Sanku’s fortification, ensuring miller compliance and achieving retention KPIs. You’ll collaborate with a passionate team to deliver solutions that directly improve lives and accelerate our mission.

How You’ll Deliver Impact

  1. Identify and prospect new customers while maintaining and growing relationships with existing ones.
  2. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve targets and expand the customer base.
  3. Conduct training for millers to improve fortification awareness and compliance, and provide technical support for Dosifier installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  4. Coordinate with Government Relations, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams to support partnerships and ensure timely product delivery.
  5. Maintain a strong understanding of the organization's mission, products, and services to communicate effectively with stakeholders and government agencies.
  6. Collect and analyze data through interviews, surveys, and regular field visits to inform market intelligence and identify trends.
  7. Monitor sales performance, competitor activity, and market conditions; prepare reports and provide insights for growth and improvement.
  8. Run pilot projects, support new business opportunities, and perform additional duties as assigned, including regular travel to field locations.

What We Are Looking For

1. 3 years of relevant work experience in Business Development or Sales in Food Processing, Agriculture, Fortification or related fields.

2. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or any related field.

3. Experience managing sales/setting sales strategies, specifically for rural and peri-urban markets.

4. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute data-driven business plans, translate strategy into actionable goals and drive efficiency with diverse stakeholders.

5. Ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle
