Position Summary

The Programs and MEL Department Intern will support the implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities at the Seed Global Health Zambia office. This internship offers a hands-on experience in program management, data analysis, and strategic planning within a dynamic Global Health environment. The internship is for a 6 months period and reports to the Program Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Programs Support:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating program activities, including workshops, training sessions and stakeholder meetings.
  • Support internal and external program workstreams including but not limited communication, educator support and
  • Support with documentation of meetings and tracking action points
  • Draft reports, presentations, and case studies to showcase program outcomes and success stories.
  • Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL):

  • Support the collection, cleaning, and analysis of program data to assess performance and impact.
  • Support data entry responsibilities
  • Contribute to the preparation of MEL reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders in liaison with the MEL manager
  • Support MEL fieldwork activities

Administrative Support:

  • Logistics support for Program and MEL-related field activities events and meetings.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Programs and MEL teams as needed.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Current enrolment in or recent graduate of a relevant degree program (e.g., Public Health, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field).
  • Familiarity with research in quantitative and qualitative methods preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated interest in global health, international development, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural team environment
