Associate, Program Implementation - Punjab State Program

At Simple Education Foundation (SEF) we work with the government to build state-wide strengthening programs for teachers and principals to increase the standard of teaching in government schools across India. Our mission is to strengthen 1 million educators by 2028.

We are a highly driven team with over 50 years of cumulative experience in teaching in classrooms and working with government school systems. Our team is young, dynamic, bold and audacious enough to make this mission come true in our lifetime. To help us accelerate our impact, we are looking to onboard more members on our paper plane!

About the role

The program is in partnership with the Department of Education, Government of Punjab. The program aims to reimagine how educator professional development can be strengthened to deliver high-quality education to students in government schools, through a mentoring and classroom support program.

The Associate Consultant will be working closely with the SCERT Punjab to design, support and assist in facilitating, monitoring, documenting, training & designing for the entire program. It will also include codifying the program and managing the constant evolution of the program as we move ahead.

How can you succeed in this role?

  • Support in the execution of a year-long Punjab coaching program that enables teachers to create high-quality learning experiences

  • Support in designing contextual interventions based on context

  • Conducting on-ground visits to capture learnings and share with the team to increase program effectiveness and quality

  • Ensure timely preparation and compilation of the Project Annual/Quarterly Work Plans and Progress Review Reports

Support in design and implementation of operational roll-out of the programme in the state

    • Collect & analyze data and generate reflections/trends towards interventions for self and stakeholders using Excel, docs etc.

    • Manage own schedule and prioritize tasks based on goals independently without support to meet the desired outcomes of the program.

    • Reflect on your actions, strengths, weaknesses and intervention, and their impact on children & stakeholders

    • Seek opportunities to grow in their challenges and learning needs and leverage their learnings and strengths towards program needs.

    • Observe interventions, programs, and practices and give feedback which is clear, direct and evidence-based

Knowledge

  • Proficiency in spoken and written Punjabi is mandatory

Experience

  • 1-2 years of work experience in the education sector, specifically in teaching, curriculum design or teacher training

Compensation will be between Rs 5,00,000 - 6,00,000 based on the experience of the candidate and will include the following perks:
