Your mission at Sistema.bio:

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Product Manager (Productive Biogas) will lead the development, enhancement, and market adoption of our biodigester solutions, focusing on empowering productive scale farmers. This role balances a strong emphasis on driving sales growth with collaboration across product development, sales, marketing, and operations teams. Your mission is to ensure that our solutions align with market needs, sales strategies, and business objectives, enabling farmers to adopt sustainable practices while expanding our market share.

You will work closely with the product development team to deliver innovative, reliable, and scalable solutions while building cross-functional alignment to achieve impactful results. This position demands strategic thinking, customer centricity, and the ability to act as a bridge between internal teams and end-users.


You’ll be in charge of:

Product Strategy and product life cycle Management:

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the productive biogas solutions, tailored to customer needs and market trends.
  • Conduct product research, competitive analysis, and user interviews to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Develop business cases, value propositions and prioritize features based on customer impact, ROI, and feasibility.

Product Development & Product Portfolio Management:

  • Collaborate with R&D teams to drive the development of new products and accessories, and improve existing products, and lead them from concept to launch. Include key inputs from commercial and tech operations teams to ensure cohesion in the product pipeline. Provide the prioritization of various products for R&D teams.
  • Ensure products meet cost, quality, performance, and safety standards, aligning with consumer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Drive Revenue Growth:

  • Collaborate closely with the commercial team to develop strategies that improve product sales and revenue growth.
  • Provide training and tools to the commercial team, equipping them with deep product knowledge and compelling value propositions tailored to different customer segments.
  • Analyze sales data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities, refining the product and go-to-market strategies accordingly.
  • Partner with marketing to create targeted campaigns and materials that align with the sales funnel and customer journey.

Customer Experience and Feedback:

  • Analyze customer feedback and Issues to refine product features and usability.
  • Work closely with the marketing and customer support teams to ensure seamless product education and adoption.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, including R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, Commercial, and Technical Operations teams, Global and Regional teams to ensure cohesive product development and adoption.
  • Align product strategy with organizational objectives and ensure timely delivery of initiatives.

Market Launch and Go-To-Market Strategy:

  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute product launch plans.
  • Create product positioning, messaging, and pricing strategies tailored to target demographics.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Use data analytics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous product iteration.

More about YOU:

  • Must have a Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering. An MBA is a plus.
  • Commercial drive, deep knowledge of commercial strategy, partnerships etc.
  • Strong understanding of the interlinkage between product, marketing, sales and customer care
  • Analytical focus. 5-8 years of demonstrated experience as a Product Manager or similar role. Demonstrated previous success in managing engineering, machinery, or industrial products in Agriculture or rural markets are preferred.
  • Strong in project management, bonus for experience in project management certificate
  • Experience in market analysis with strong knowldege on market research methods.
  • Strong knowledge in product marketing tactics.
  • Exceptional ability to manage cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Proven experience in implementing go-to-market strategies for diverse cultures, in particular for LATAM, African and India regions. or At least two of these regions.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
