Your mission at Sistema.bio:

Reporting to the Business Development Manager (Western Central & Northern Africa), the Business Development Associate (Western, Central & Northern Africa) will support the business growth of Sistema.bio in new geographies in Western, Central and Northern Africa to achieve our impact goals.


You’ll be in charge of:

  • Communicating in a timely, proactive and professional manner with existing and new business partners in export countries
  • Supporting tender, grant applications and due diligence for global market expansion
  • Coordinating programs with business partners in specified export markets
  • Conducting market research in new markets, proposing new business opportunities and business development strategies
  • Monitoring data quality, conducting data analysis and deriving business development strategies
  • Ensuring data-driven decision-making and timely reporting through live dashboards and reports
  • Supporting the Global Strategy and Western Africa Partnership


More about YOU:

  • Possess a BSc. Business Administration, Economics, International Business Management, Agribusiness or related field, MSc. desired
  • Demonstrated passion to empower smallholder farmers through climate smart technology
  • Leadership experience in a professional, educational or community setting
  • 2+ years of business research, business analysis, project management, business development or management consulting experience
  • Strong professional verbal, written, visual communication and presentation skills
  • Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to inform strategy and decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a strong team culture, build and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Must be comfortable self-managing multiple priorities and partners concurrently, thrive in the face of change and uncertainty, and be motivated to drive projects forward
  • Positive, encouraging, collaborative attitude
  • Ability to work with a multicultural team
  • Values integrity and honesty
  • Curious, empathetic, energetic, self-starter and doer mindset
  • French native speaker also fluent in English
