Job Description

  1. Brought together animators, designers, teachers, and curriculum developers to create a cartoon series by the name of Taleemabad. Taleemabad is set in an imaginary city, where our characters get into all sorts of (mis)adventures with one sole objective: to get children to learn while having fun. Watch a sample here.   2. Brought together teachers with developers and tech enthusiasts, and created a game-based learning platform for Android phones (called the Taleemabad Learning App), which has now reached 1 million+ households, with a rating of 4.4 on the Playstore!

  3. Launched School vertical (details here), we empower entrepreneurs to take our approach and build a truly progressive, modern school at an affordable fee. It’s fun to be in Taleemabad. You should visit one soon. We plan to build 100+ of these in the next year, taking incredibly engaging learning across the country.

About the Project  

 

Taleemabad, a digital education solutions provider, is anticipating to work on an ambitious project with the government. The project aims to introduce Taleemabad's digital education solutions in public primary schools. As part of this initiative, the project involves the establishment of an institute which will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and executing a program for digital teacher training. The primary objective of the project is to enhance the quality of education in public schools, with a specific focus on teacher training and professional development. 

 

 

Job Summary

  

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Mentor to join our team for a 24-month project. The CPD Mentor will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of the teacher training program and providing leadership to a team of nine to ten CPD coaches. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in developing and conducting training for teachers, preferably with some teaching experience and excellent communication and relationship management skills. 


Requirements

Responsibilities: 

  1. Lead and manage a team of nine to ten CPD coaches, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective teacher training and professional development. 

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive support plans for teachers in government schools to enhance their content and pedagogical skills. 

  1. Conduct training sessions and onboarding for CPD coaches, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively support teachers in their professional growth. 

  1. Analyze and assess the impact of the teacher training program, collecting data and feedback to inform continuous improvements and enhancements. 

  1. Collaborate with the academic team to incorporate research findings and best practices into the training program, ensuring it remains up-to-date and effective. 

  1. Monitor and track the progress of CPD coaches and teachers, identifying areas of improvement and implementing targeted interventions as needed. 

  1. Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including the officials from education department and school principals, to ensure the successful implementation of the project. 

  1. Regularly review and update training materials and resources to reflect the evolving needs and challenges faced by teachers in the classroom environment. 

  1. Act as a strategic thinker, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the quality and impact of the teacher training program. 

  1. Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address any issues or obstacles that may arise during the implementation of the project. 

  1. Foster a high-energy and collaborative work environment, encouraging creativity, innovation, and teamwork among the CPD coaches and other team members. 

  1. Ensure compliance with project timelines and deliverables, managing resources efficiently to achieve project objectives within the designated time frame. 

  1. Provide regular updates and reports to the project leadership team, conveying progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. 

  1. Any additional responsibilities assigned by the program manager.

Qualifications: 

 

  1. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 

  1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience  

  1. Preference will be given to people with experience in developing and conducting trainings for teachers 

  1. Teaching experience is definitely a plus 

  1. Strong understanding of pedagogy and challenges faced by teachers in a classroom environment. 

  1. Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship management skills. 

  1. Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. 

  1. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills. 

  1. Knowledge of digital education solutions 

  1. Fluency in English and Urdu languages.
