  1. Brought together animators, designers, teachers, and curriculum developers to create a cartoon series by the name of Taleemabad. Taleemabad is set in an imaginary city, where our characters get into all sorts of (mis)adventures with one sole objective: to get children to learn while having fun. Watch a sample here.   2. Brought together teachers with developers and tech enthusiasts, and created a game-based learning platform for Android phones (called the Taleemabad Learning App), which has now reached 1 million+ households, with a rating of 4.4 on the Playstore!

  3. Launched School vertical (details here), we empower entrepreneurs to take our approach and build a truly progressive, modern school at an affordable fee. It’s fun to be in Taleemabad. You should visit one soon. We plan to build 100+ of these in the next year, taking incredibly engaging learning across the country.

About the Project  

Taleemabad, a digital education solutions provider, is anticipating to work on an ambitious project with the government. The project aims to introduce Taleemabad's digital education solutions in public primary schools. As part of this initiative, the project involves the establishment of an institute which will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and executing a program for digital teacher training. The primary objective of the project is to enhance the quality of education in public schools, with a specific focus on teacher training and professional development. 

 

Job Summary 

We are seeking a Continuous Professional Development Coach to join our team for a 24-month project. This role requires an individual with teaching experience, a solid understanding of the challenges faced by teachers in a classroom environment, and excellent communication and relationship management skills. As a Continuous Professional Development Coach, you will be responsible for supporting government teachers in learning and implementing content and pedagogical skills, thereby helping them improve their teaching practices.


Requirements

Responsibilities: 

  1. Support the CPD Mentors to design and implement a comprehensive professional development program for government teachers. 

  1. Conduct needs assessments to identify the specific training needs of teachers and develop tailored training plans accordingly. 

  1. Conduct daily school visits, classroom observations, and coaching sessions.

  1. Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for government teachers, focusing on enhancing their content knowledge, pedagogical skills, and effective use of digital education solutions. 

  1. Provide individualized coaching and mentoring to teachers, offering guidance and support in implementing new teaching strategies and technologies. 

  1. Monitor the progress of teachers and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their instructional practices. 

  1. Collaborate with other stakeholders, such as school principals and education officials, to ensure effective implementation of the professional development program. 

  1. Stay updated on the latest trends and research in education, instructional design, and digital learning to continually enhance the professional development program. 

  1. Document and maintain records of teacher training activities, including attendance, evaluations, and outcomes. 

  1. Assist in evaluating the impact and effectiveness of the professional development program through data collection and analysis. 

  1. Contribute to the development of instructional materials, resources, and guidelines to support teacher training. 

  1. Any additional responsibilities assigned by the Program Manager.

Qualifications: 

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Public Policy, Social Sciences or a related field. 

  1. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant field. Fresh graduates can also be considered based on their skillset.

  1. Previous teaching experience in primary or secondary schools is highly desirable. 

  1. Training experience would be a plus.  

  1. Sound knowledge of educational theories, instructional strategies, and digital education solutions. 

  1. Familiarity with the challenges faced by teachers in the Pakistani education system. 

  1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with teachers, school administrators, and other stakeholders. 

  1. Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 

  1. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

  1. Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for instructional purposes. 

  1. Fluency in English and Urdu is required, both spoken and written.
