Position Summary
To advance Teach For All’s 25-year vision, we are seeking a Manager, Global Staff Experience & Operations to be the operational backbone of our efforts to build an engaged, inclusive, global staff. This role ensures the high-quality, seamless end-to-end planning and execution of our critical staff development programs and people processes, leveraging strong project management and data analysis to directly enhance the staff experience and drive organizational efficiency.
About the Team
The People Circle is a high-impact, globally distributed team focused on strengthening our culture, leadership, and staff experience to enable our network's success. We strive to embody the very principles we champion, fostering a culture of collective leadership, well-being, and continuous growth. Reporting into a Senior Director within the People Circle, and working closely with other directors as well as the Chief Administration Officer, you will be part of a team where your operational expertise directly translates into tangible support and development opportunities for colleagues across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Project Management for Global Staff Development Offerings
Lead the full lifecycle operational delivery of staff learning and development programs, ensuring high-quality, timely, strategic delivery of initiatives. This includes:
- Project Planning: Lead detailed backwards planning, develop clear project timelines, and manage critical dependencies across multiple global offerings.
- Logistics: Coordinate all logistical elements, including scheduling, technology setup, and managing recruitment and registration processes.
- Materials: Draft and prepare essential participant materials to support program delivery.
- Stakeholder Communication: Draft and manage clear, intentional communications to staff, ensuring alignment and increasing engagement.
- Program Design Support: Contribute to the refinement and iteration of program design based on feedback and strategic organizational goals.
2. People Data Management and Analysis
Serve as the primary lead for all People Circle data and analytics, using insights to drive continuous improvement in the staff experience.
- Overall Data Strategy and Management: Serving as the holistic lead for our people data management & analysis approach, tools, and system.
- Data Systems and Integrity: Manage key people data systems, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security across a globally distributed team.
- Data Reporting: Track and report on key organizational metrics (e.g., new hire, attrition, and engagement data) and respond to internal data requests.
- Survey Leadership: Lead the end-to-end project management of our annual Staff Engagement Survey and Development Needs Survey, from design and launch through data processing, analysis, and presenting key insights for organizational reflection.
3. Excellence in Core People Cycles, Systems, and Funds
Drive execution excellence for critical, organization-wide annual cycles, administrative processes, and strategic staff funds.
- Performance Management: Plan and coordinate the annual staff member performance review cycle timelines, draft global communications, and ensure all relevant resources for goal-setting, feedback, and development planning are current and accessible.
- Sponsorship Program Operations: Manage the internal organizational mentorship program by tracking sponsor/staff member matches, developing communication plans, and ensuring sponsors receive timely updates and necessary materials to effectively support their colleagues.
- Staff Funds Administration: Lead the operational management of key staff funding mechanisms, including the Staff Connection Fund and the Individual Development Fund (for external professional development).
- Budget Management: Serve as the budget manager for the People Circle, tracking expenses, managing vendor payments, and ensuring resourceful stewardship of funds allocated for learning and well-being initiatives.
4. Strategic Operations and Ad-Hoc Projects for Organizational Ease
Contribute high-judgment operational expertise and project management capacity to strategic organizational initiatives designed to create a modern and effective workplace. Examples include:
- Modern Workplace Solutions (MWS) Project: Contribute to cross-team projects that streamline organizational systems, improve cross-team collaboration, and enable greater ease in our global, remote workspace.
- AI Adoption Project: Contribute to a cross-team initiative to develop, prioritize, and pilot AI use cases across the organization, helping to integrate these tools to create greater efficiency and capacity for staff.
- Staff Milestone Appreciation: Coordinate and manage staff appreciation initiatives for key milestones, fostering a culture of recognition.
- Secondment Program: Work closely with the CAO to support a secondment program, ensuring smooth coordination for hiring managers and our external partner.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to other ad hoc projects as needed, such as leading or participating in working groups focused on various organizational initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong Project Management Acumen: Proven experience managing complex projects end-to-end, ideally in a global or remote context, with a high degree of organizational skill and attention to detail.
- Data and Systems Management: Demonstrated experience working in Excel/Google Sheets, including a comfort with data analysis and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities: Effectively juggle competing demands, maintain attention to detail, and ensure timely execution across a high volume of concurrent projects.
- Proactive problem-solving and sound judgment: Anticipate challenges, identify potential risks early, and take initiative to address issues or seek input when needed.
- Strategic mindset with strong critical thinking: Approach operational tasks with a big-picture perspective, using critical thinking to drive smarter decisions and more effective execution.
- Strong Communication & Stakeholder Relations: Exceptional skills in both written communication and building trusting relationships across a global staff. Serve as a knowledgeable, approachable first point of contact for staff questions.
- Ability to thrive in a distributed leadership model: Effectively balance personal ownership and high-judgment decision-making with actively seeking and integrating input from stakeholders across the global team.

Compensation
Salary for this position is competitive and dependent on country of hire and prior work experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Travel and Hours
All work is delivered virtually. Given that we work across different time zones, some non-traditional hours for early or later calls are an expectation of this role.
