AMI seeks a dynamic and entrepreneurial Country Lead to lead and grow our presence in Rwanda. This role is crucial for driving business development, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring the effective delivery of our learning solutions. The Country Lead will serve as the primary representative of AMI in Rwanda, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the overall success of AMI's operations in the region.
AMI already has a team of 10+ people in Kigali and several multi-million projects in the country. We aim to unlock new revenues (3x over the next 3 years) to support thousands of SMEs and scale our modern workforce learning solutions for ambitious companies across Rwanda. The successful candidate will be a key senior member of AMI’s dynamic, international team, based in Rwanda but working closely with other leaders across the continent. Country Leads’ main responsibilities
Leadership
Represent AMI at a senior level in Rwanda. Be the face of AMI locally, build partnerships and ensure AMI’s visibility in the country.
Collaborate with functional leads regionally and centrally to align country operations with overall organizational goals.
Develop AMI’s brand in the region, through events and partnerships, to become a sector leader.
Provide leadership and support to the in-country team, ensuring they are well-coordinated and motivated, even though some of them might report directly to functional leads while others report directly to the Country Lead.
Business development
Drive the growth of AMI’s business by generating new leads, closing sales, and expanding client relationships.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Rwanda business and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Lead the development of new revenue-generating and strategic partnerships, embedding AMI further into the local ecosystem.
Oversee local marketing efforts to enhance AMI's visibility and drive new clients’ acquisition.
Country Lead’s additional responsibilities:
Product & Project Delivery
Ensure all projects meet client satisfaction and impact goals by regularly monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), to ensure program renewal.
Work with AMI’s product and learning teams to tailor AMI’s offerings to the local context by providing data-driven feedback.
General Management
Foster a culture of performance, motivation, and employee satisfaction within the team.
Work closely with group functional leads to recruit, onboard and manage staff and contractors.
Coordinate with regional and central teams to support operational functions, including finance, compliance, procurement, and logistics.
Oversee general office management, including rental and utility agreements,
Ensure that company systems, policies, and processes are maintained and adhered to.
Act as a budget owner for AMI Rwanda, working closely with the central Finance team.

Revenue Growth: Drive achievement of revenue targets through successful new business development and expansion of existing client accounts.
