AMI is looking for an ambitious and talented Content & Communications Associate to lead our digital presence through creative storytelling, strategic social media management and active community engagement across Africa. You will move beyond standard corporate updates, crafting an authentic brand voice that captures the vibrant essence of African entrepreneurship. This role requires someone comfortable both behind and in front of the camera, experimenting with modern formats like viral-ready Reels and polished video narratives. With a high standard for visual and editorial excellence, you will use tools like Canva and Adobe Suite to ensure every piece of content is aesthetically striking. Ultimately, your mission is to bridge the gap between data and human experience, turning program metrics into compelling stories of change that showcase AMI’s transformative impact across the continent.

2. Storytelling & Multimedia Content Development

  • Manage end-to-end story development: concept → scripting → production → publishing

  • Develop high-impact stories about the organization, our partners and impact

  • Produce written content, blogs, posts, newsletters, and video narratives

  • Create short-form video content optimized for digital platforms

3. Integrated Content Planning

  • Maintain an editorial calendar that aligns social media, storytelling, and campaigns

  • Respond to inquiries, feedback, and comments to strengthen trust and connection

5. Partner & Influencer Amplification

  • Identify opportunities for storytelling co-creation with community members, aligned influencers, creators, or partners

6. Analytics, Reporting & Optimization

  • Track KPIs such as engagement, reach, follower growth, community participation, and content performance

  • Use insights to adjust strategy and improve storytelling and community engagement

  • Report regularly on social media growth, storytelling impact, and community engagement outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in social media management, content creation, digital communications, or storytelling

  • Community management or engagement experience.

  • Experience running influencer or partner campaigns.

  • Ability to coordinate freelance creators or agencies.
