The GM Research & Analytics will build and lead TCF’s Research & Analytics Unit as the organization’s central hub for insight, evidence, and performance intelligence. The role will integrate research and data analytics to inform strategic choices, improve program effectiveness, and strengthen system-wide performance across one of the largest independent education networks in the world. This role sits at the intersection of education, research, and management within one of the largest and most complex education networks in the country. It will combine rigorous impact evaluation and applied research with advanced analytics to answer critical questions on learning, operations, and scale. The GM will also translate TCF’s experience into credible, high-quality knowledge products that contribute to the broader education ecosystem.

About the Role

The role has two primary objectives:

  • Drive better decisions internally: Embed data, evidence, and analytics into leadership forums and day-to-day management across programs and functions.
  • Advance system-level learning and evidence externally: Generate and contribute rigorous insights on what works in education at scale, drawing on TCF’s experience to inform the broader education ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead TCF’s research, evaluation, and learning agenda aligned to organizational priorities, strategic questions, and long-term impact goals.
  • Develop and operationalize organization-wide impact measurement frameworks covering learning outcomes, operational effectiveness, and long-term life outcomes across programs.
  • Lead and commission research studies, evaluations, pilots, and innovation initiatives to identify “what works” and support evidence-based program design, continuous improvement, and scale/stop decisions.
  • Serve as TCF’s interface with the broader research and policy ecosystem, synthesizing global evidence and building partnerships with academic, policy, and development stakeholders.
  • Produce high-quality knowledge products, evidence syntheses, and thought leadership to articulate TCF’s experience and contribute to system-level learning in education at scale.
  • Develop and institutionalize organization-wide KPI frameworks, executive and board-level dashboards, reporting cadences, and performance analytics across programs and functions to identify trends, diagnose performance drivers, and support continuous improvement and decision-making.
  • Partner with leadership teams to embed analytics and evidence into key decision-making forums, including Executive Team reviews, annual planning, and operational performance discussions, strengthening the organization’s ability to make timely, data-driven decisions through reliable data systems, analytical tools, and insight generation.
  • Build advanced analytics and predictive capabilities to enable proactive interventions and resource allocation, including areas such as student risk, teacher retention, school performance, and program effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with Tech & Transformation to strengthen data governance, integrity, and integration across core organizational data domains including students, teachers, schools, operations, and finance.
  • Build and scale the Research & Analytics Unit as an enterprise-wide function integrating research, analytics, evaluation, and organizational learning capabilities, supported by clear governance structures, operating models, and prioritization mechanisms.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Programs, Finance, Development, and Tech & Transformation to strengthen integrated decision-making, pilot governance, and organization-wide performance improvement.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team while building organizational capability in data literacy, evidence-based decision-making, and the effective use of analytics and research insights.
