Job Summary

Lead the development and execution of TCF's national volunteer engagement strategy to build a sustainable, high-performing volunteer ecosystem that supports fundraising, advocacy, community engagement, and youth leadership.

The role is responsible for the complete volunteer lifecycle, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, development, recognition, retention, leadership pipeline, and volunteer experience across all volunteer programs including Rahbar, Summer Internship Program, Summer Camp, and future initiatives.

The incumbent will establish governance, standards, systems, partnerships, and performance metrics to ensure a consistent volunteer experience nationwide while building strong relationships with universities, corporate partners, alumni, volunteer leaders, and internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote TCF culture and values within the volunteer ecosystem.
  • Develop and implement TCF's national volunteer engagement and retention strategy.
  • Provide strategic oversight of Rahbar, Summer Camp, Internship Program, and volunteer experience initiatives.
  • Recruit, engage, retain, and develop volunteers and volunteer leaders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with veteran volunteers and volunteer leadership groups.
  • Coordinate and support the Rahbar Steering Committee and other strategic volunteer forums.
  • Establish university partnerships, corporate volunteering partnerships, alumni pathways, and youth engagement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Brands & Communications and Digital teams on volunteer acquisition campaigns, onboarding journeys, communications, and recognition initiatives.
  • Consistent volunteer experiences & program quality across all regions.
  • Manage volunteer data, reporting, dashboards, and Salesforce records.
  • Monitor volunteer recruitment, participation, retention, satisfaction, and program health metrics.
  • Lead & develop a high-performing volunteer engagement team.
  • Collaborate with regional and functional teams through a matrix reporting structure.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation across volunteer programs.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Total volunteers recruited, active volunteers and volunteer retention rate.
  • Volunteer leadership pipeline growth.
  • Volunteer satisfaction score.
  • University and corporate partnerships established.
  • Volunteer data quality and reporting compliance.
  • Consistency of volunteer experience across regions and program health score.

Required Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Education

16 years of education (Master's degree preferred)
