Job Description: Education Program Coordinator- Sidama Region
The Luminos Fund, an international nonprofit operating in Ethiopia with ACSO license # _5731, is looking for an Education Program Coordinator based in Sidama to oversee the effective delivery of the Luminos accelerated education program in region.
In this full-time role, the Education Program Coordinator will provide strategic direction and programmatic leadership. This position will also act as the primary liaison between the Luminos Fund, the Sidama Regional Education Bureau (REB), and local implementing partners. Reporting to the Country Manager of the Luminos Fund Ethiopia Office or their designee, the Education Program Coordinator will offer comprehensive advisory, consultative, monitoring, and information-gathering support across a broad range of program operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Education Program Coordinator role includes the following duties and responsibilities:
Leadership & Coordination:
Ensure effective program implementation of the Structured Pedagogy Accelerated Learning Program by:
- Liaising with and overseeing a team of Implementing Partner supervisors ensuring they are providing effective support to government supervisors
- Coordinating and leading training workshops for master trainers, teachers, school leaders, government supervisors and other stakeholders
- Collaborating with the Luminos Impact team and implementing partners to drive smooth data collection and data integrity
- Providing additional support to teachers of classes with lower learning outcomes to ensure all children are given the opportunity to learn
- Tracking and deliver against program budgets to ensure efficient resource utilization and accurate reporting
- Supporting due diligence on prospective implementing partners and assess operational and financial capabilities
- Collaborating with the Luminos Impact team and implementing partners to drive smooth data collection and data integrity
Partnership Management:
- Supporting communication and liaison with the Sidama Regional Education Bureau (REB), and local implementing partners
Reporting & Advisory:
- Reporting to the Country Manager of the Luminos Fund Ethiopia Office or their designee
- Assisting in the development and design of Sidama program-related brochures, reports, and other educational materials for publication and distribution
- Supporting the Luminos Development team with donor reports as requested
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Strong understanding of structured pedagogy programming (including ideally direct experience working on the Luminos Fund Structured Pedagogy Accelerated Learning Program) and how this supports foundational learning
- Demonstrated experience delivering impactful training and strong coaching/mentoring skills
- Bachelor’s degree in education, literacy, or a related field and/or extensive experience as an educator
- Proven experience in program management in the education, humanitarian, or international development sectors
- Excellent communication and networking abilities (ideally including experience working with government stakeholders)
- Fluency in Amharic, English, and Sidama Afoo languages.
