About Asha Kiran:
Asha Kiran - The Hope project is rebuilding the lives of impoverished people affected post-COVID-19 via a network of credible non-profits in partnership with the government. The project targets poor rural women migrant/construction laborer families to provide immediate and long-term support to women at the center and by building on SHG networks.
This role will drive the delivery of livelihood models in partnership with Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission. The/Nudge is working with Uttar Pradesh’s State Rural Livelihood Missions, non-profits, and private sector organizations to help scale the livestock models targeting the poor. In this effort, the delivery team must work with the UPSRLM to implement goatery and backyard poultry models on the ground. Delivery includes demonstrating prototypes, which are then to be scaled across the state. This role will work with UPSRLM’s state, district, and block units, provide technical and implementation support, and set up SOPs, guidelines, and processes from the state to the village organization level. This role will ensure operational excellence, including solid field implementation, capacity development of the team, adherence to processes, substantial data collection and reporting, robust governance mechanisms, and relationship management with key stakeholders at the state, district, and block levels.
At Nudge, you will: -
Work closely with the Operation team for the program implementation of the Goat and Backyard Poultry projects in the intervention blocks/districts.
Participatory planning of the activities along with the District and block Mission managers of UPSRLM.
Support field staff in implementing the project and ensuring its quality, leading to the desired income enhancement of the community.
Build acquisition design processes for geo-specific and thematic-area-specific interventions.
Align strategy and build strong and effective monitoring mechanisms for the execution of program priorities.
Collaborate with Product, SPMU, L&D and other teams/stakeholders with practical field-level information for developing and refining the product.
Support Operation Manager, Goat & Backyard Poultry Program- Asha Kiran, for properly planning activities and helping team members with adequate execution.
Collect feedback and close the loop; ensure timely and organized communication.
Apply if you have: -
2-5 years of overall work experience in livelihood promotion through community institutions in rural areas, as well as experience working with government departments or any other reputed organizations, non-profits, corporates etc – especially rural portfolios (agriculture, livestock, tribal & social welfare etc.).
Experience working with community cadre, SHGs, and Community Institutions.
Ability to define and design the mobilization, production and market linkage processes while considering the balance between quality and quantity output.
Ability to communicate internally and externally and should have strong interpersonal relationships, i.e., most team members have high trust and reach out for support.
Demonstrated ability to work with other team members (within and outside the thematic domain). Always ready to support and seek support from team members.
Should have master's in at least one area, which could be technical, HR, implementation, or partnership at various levels to facilitate colleagues/ staff/ community members.
Ability to understand, research, and analyze local market economics and local short supply chains.
Ability to document the process, develop guidelines, risk mitigation methods, and communication guidelines (when needed), and help with the audit process with donors and the audit team.
Collect and analyze data, gather inferences, and present them simply to influence critical decisions.
Ability to plan with the resources (funds, time, effort, people) & constraints and plan for challenges based on historical information and experiences.
Willingness to travel intensively in state and designated districts/block/panchayat and as per the needs of the program’s goals.
Written and spoken fluency in Hindi and English.
