About The/Nudge Institute:
The/Nudge is an action institute building resilient livelihoods to alleviate poverty. We work with women, farmers, tribals and youth on rural development, agriculture, skilling and economic inclusion, along with 15+ central and state government partners.
Our economic inclusion journey for 25 million Indians, has reached 10 states with $250M of government funding to cover 1.25M people. Our incubator, accelerator and grand challenges have supported 200+ social entrepreneurs including 17 Forbes 30U30, 3 EarthShot Prize winners, 1 Time Magazine cover and more.

About the role:
The People & Culture team at The Nudge helps in acquiring and nurturing the right talent to meet the organization's objectives. By being part of this team, join us on an unique opportunity to build the People & Culture function of a rapidly growing organization which is solving some of the toughest problems in India.
What will you do ?
  • Develop a talent & people-first culture in achieving the organisation’s vision and mission
  • Own and lead the overall vision and strategy for the People & Culture team at The/Nudge
  • Manage and coach a team towards their growth and development to meet the growing needs of the organisation
  • Build a strategy to attract talent which improves the talent density at The/Nudge
  • Build a community of action-oriented, purpose-aligned individuals for solving social problems
  • Ensure a clear Employee Value Proposition in support of building the top of the funnel
  • Ensure best practice, innovative methods and processes across all aspects of the employee life cycle (from onboarding to exit)
  • Track HR metrics and identify areas of improvement in attracting, retaining and managing teams
  • Manage the work environment in a way that ensures employees are happy, motivated and productive
  • Develop and lead people strategies and processes with a focus on organisational development
  • Build a cohesive culture in line with the elements of The/Nudge spirit
  • Create a leadership development framework to drive the development of managers, leadership capability and embed a coaching culture
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders towards improved employee experience
Who are we looking for in this role?
  • 20+ years of experience working in fast-paced environments
  • Thorough understanding of people & culture policies and procedures, and knowledge of laws and regulations
  • Familiarity with all aspects of people operations, including culture development, compensation, recruitment, benefits, training and coaching
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • A strong outcome orientation and the ability to drive critical results within specific timelines
  • Creative thinking abilities to bring continuous development/innovation to optimise processes and to create the best experience for all employees
