What are we solving for ?
We are solving for households in poverty who are also financially and socially vulnerable through a targeted, multi-faceted, and sequenced model called the graduation approach, which has demonstrated that we can durably pull households out of poverty.
At The/Nudge Institute, we are in the process of catalysing the propagation of the same.

Position Overview:
The/Nudge is working with the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM), Government of Assam, to help increase adoption of the graduation approach/ economic inclusion program by targeting 14000 multidimensionally poor households through community institutions. As part of this effort, a State Project Management Unit (SPMU) is set up at ASRLM, Guwahati, to help the Government of Assam to implement the Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana (SAY). This position is for the SPMU at Guwahati, ASRLM and will report to the State Lead, Assam Economic Inclusion Program.
The position will focus on strengthening monitoring and evaluation systems, ensuring data quality and process integrity, and generating evidence-based insights to improve the implementation of graduation approach and its outcomes. It will contribute to building robust data systems, enabling learning loops, and supporting data-driven decision-making across program districts and blocks.
What will you do ?
  • Lead and coordinate program monitoring across districts and blocks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of field and MIS data.
  • Establish systems for regular data validation, quality checks, and structured feedback mechanisms for program and tech teams.
  • Track key outcome indicators and ensure adherence to monitoring frameworks, reporting formats, and timelines.
  • Analyze field-level and MIS data to identify trends, performance gaps, and implementation challenges, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Generate analytical reports and actionable insights to inform program strategy, decision-making, and operational improvements.
  • Develop and maintain data tracking systems, dashboards, and reporting tools using appropriate data visualization platforms.
  • Introduce automation in routine monitoring and reporting processes and support improvements in the program’s MIS and digital data collection systems.
  • Collaborate with ASRLM state, district, and block teams to strengthen monitoring systems and document program learnings, best practices, and knowledge products for scale-up.
  • Conduct evaluation and learning studies for quality assurance in program implementation.
Who are we looking for in this role?
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, data quality management, preferably in government or development sector large scale programs.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills with minimum 3 years of experience working with large-scale livelihood, poverty alleviation, or rural development programs and multi-level program teams is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in bulk data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in digital data collection systems and data management platforms.
  • Ability to multi-task, should be a good team player, conversant with analytical skills, qualitative and quantitative research and presentation skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with strong organizational and execution capabilities.
  • Proactive mindset with an interest in system strengthening, process improvement, and automation.
  • Willingness to travel extensively in the desired blocks/field areas that come under the project districts.
