The/Nudge is an action institute building resilient livelihoods to alleviate poverty. We work with women, farmers, tribals, and youth across rural development, agriculture, skilling, and economic inclusion, in partnership with 15+ central and state governments. Our economic inclusion journey towards serving 25 million Indians spans 10 states and currently reaches over 1.5 million people. Through our incubator, accelerator, and grand challenges, we have supported 200+ social entrepreneurs, including Forbes 30 Under 30 honorees, Earthshot Prize winners, and nationally recognized changemakers.

About this Role
The/Nudge is looking for an AI Product Engineer to help accelerate our journey towards becoming an AI-proficient organization. This position will focus on exploring, designing, and building AI-driven products, internal prototypes, and automation tools. The intern will work closely with the program, strategy & operations teams to identify workflows that can be optimized using AI, develop intelligent solutions, and help cultivate an AI-first mindset across the organization to improve our program delivery and scale.
This role combines research, startup evaluation, and strategic execution, including contributions to outreach, go-to-market (GTM), and community-building initiatives.
The ideal candidate is curious, structured, and self-driven, with an interest in startups and ecosystem building.
What will you do?
1. Startup Discovery & Pipeline Building
- Identify and curate startups across the agriculture and MSME sectors
- Build and maintain a structured startup pipeline/database
2. Research & Landscape Mapping
- Analyze sector trends, government policies, and market opportunities
- Develop concise sector briefs, reports, and opportunity maps
3. Startup Evaluation
- Assess startups on business model, market potential and scalability etc.
- Create structured startup summaries for internal review
4. Data Collection & Intelligence
- Source insights from platforms (Crunchbase, Tracxn, LinkedIn), reports etc.
- Track and update relevant data, metrics, and insights
5. Outreach, GTM & Community Building
- Support GTM and outreach strategy design (founder outreach, partnerships)
- Assist in execution: startup engagement, ecosystem mapping, and program support
- Contribute to building a strong startup and ecosystem community
Who are we looking for in this role?
- Strong research and analytical skills; ability to synthesize information into insights
- High attention to detail, organization, and comfort with ambiguity
- Interest in startups, venture ecosystem, or innovation landscape
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s (Engineering, Business, Economics, Agriculture, Public Policy, or related fields)
- Strong academic background preferred; candidates from top-tier institutions are encouraged, though skills and execution ability matter most
