Role Overview
We are seeking motivated and entrepreneurial Field Sales Agents to drive the adoption of life and microinsurance products across Uganda. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying potential clients, educating them on insurance solutions, and closing sales, while building long-term relationships within their communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively identify, engage, and close new clients in assigned field locations
- Educate individuals, families, and small businesses on Turaco’s life and microinsurance products
- Conduct needs assessments and recommend suitable insurance solutions
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Generate leads through field activities, referrals, and community engagement
- Support clients with onboarding, documentation, and claims guidance
- Maintain accurate records of sales, leads, and customer interactions
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of UACE certificate, Diploma, or equivalent
- Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance
- Prior experience in sales, field marketing, or insurance is an added advantage
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work independently in the field
- Ability to build trust and relationships within local communities
- Basic financial literacy and willingness to learn insurance products
Added Advantages (Highly Preferred)
- Ability to speak multiple local languages
- Previous experience in microfinance, telecom sales, or community-based sales
