About the Role

The Account Manager is the steward of Turaco’s partnerships in Kenya, responsible for nurturing relationships, driving growth within existing accounts, and ensuring every partner experiences exceptional value from our collaboration.

This role is for someone who thrives on building trust, solving problems, and creating win-win outcomes. You will confidently sit across from a bank CEO to present performance insights and, the next day, train field officers in a rural branch with empathy and clarity.

Role overview

The partner success manager is a specialized role for an operator seeking to transition foundational execution skills into a commercial career.

This position is the ideal next step for an ambitious professional who has spent three to five years mastering operational or data-heavy workflows inside financial services (including fintech platforms, asset financing, or commercial banking) and is now looking to own account performance, grow their business acumen, and manage strategic corporate relationships.

Key roles and responsibilities

Partnership execution and stakeholder management

  • Manage accounts and serve as the primary operational point of contact between corporate accounts and central engineering, underwriting, and finance teams.
  • Analyze partner operational workflows to understand consumer cycles and ensure insurance products integrate with distribution channels.
  • Responsible for the 2-way partner-Turaco communication needs in the country. This includes managing correspondence with key decision-makers of our partners.

Commercial development

  • Identify business opportunities to expand existing partnerships.
  • Escalate customer pain points and process improvement opportunities to internal teams and clients.

Operational stability

  • Maintain customer relationship management (CRM) records with accuracy and regular updates.
  • Audit execution dashboards to identify data discrepancies prior to impact on premium billing or client relations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Live Turaco’s values – push boundaries, work with excellence, and profound respect for the individual.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate three to five years of experience in financial services.
  • Possess a track record in process-driven operational control or account management roles.
  • A highly collaborative team leader who can champion culture, has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire.
  • Communicate and present effectively to stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Eager to transition from operational execution to a client-facing role to influence relationship health and revenue.
  • Proficient in financial inclusion platforms, mobile money ecosystems, and asset collection cycles in East Africa.

    Our Company Culture

At Turaco, our culture is defined by our values: 1) Pushing boundaries, 2) Working with excellence, and 3) Profound respect for the individual. If these values resonate with you, we encourage you to apply!
