Summary
VillageReach invites qualified candidates to apply for an opportunity to support the consortium-led implementation research to test equitable digital-first care in Lagos State. This would be an independent consulting engagement. Ideal candidates will be based in Lagos State, Nigeria and have experience in designing and implementing qualitative & quantitative research methods and will play a critical role in executing data collection, analysis and reporting. A master’s degree in public health, statistics, social sciences, epidemiology or similar field is required.
Description
The implementation Research to test equitable digital-first care in Lagos State is in the second phase where telehealth models are being deployed and adaptations will be made based on learnings from Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles. Typical support will include routine data collection, cleaning and analysis, drawing of key insights from findings in the project’s lifespan, and report writing.
The Independent Consultant willwork closely with the Consortium over 6 months to support the implementation research to iteratively deploy telehealth models to the target population across the pre-identified wards in Lagos State. The Consultant may also provide support to VillageReach’s global programs as needed.
Examples of potential assignments and deliverable:
- Qualitative data collection and analysis (primary focus): Conduct in-depth interviews, field observation, and key informant interviews, and support the analysis of qualitative data to inform adaptations needed for subsequent deployment of telehealth models for equitable primary health care services in Lagos State.
- Quantitative data collection and analysis (secondary focus): Administer surveys and other data collection instruments to users of deployed telehealth models on the implementation research project, analysis of data provided by the telehealth service providers, and other data generated on the project.
- Research implementation: Ensure compliance with ethical standards, including obtaining informed consent, maintaining participant confidentiality, managing data storage and documentation, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Prepare detailed reports, summarizing research findings and recommendations.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as required on the implementation research project.
