Warc Africa is a social enterprise headquartered in Ghana, including operations in Sierra Leone. Warc is on a mission to get subsistence farmers in rural Africa out of poverty and turn them into climate heroes. The company's current focus is on the Upper West region of Ghana, working with over 8,000 smallholder farmers through a network of community-level Trading Hubs, selling bundles of inputs, providing mechanization services, training on better practices and regenerative agricultural methodology, and providing a fair and transparent market for farmers to sell any amount, any time. Focused on staple cereal and legumes, Warc is expanding both its geographic coverage and value-chain services.
It also has a consulting line that co-implements donor-funded projects in agriculture, entrepreneurship and rural development in areas of inclusive business model development, extension management, farm services, data collection and analysis and market and value chain studies. The company has over 65 employees from 10 different countries.
