Job Description: Foundation Team Leader

Position Title: Foundation Specialist

Department: Production

Reports to: Production Director

Supervises: Foundation Team (Masons, Assistants & Machine Operators)

Location: Kigali, with frequent field assignments

Renumeration: RWF 574,815 monthly gross Salary before deductions of PAYE, RSSB contributions + Health Insurance Contribution PRIME

Retention Pay: A monthly retention payment of RWF 100,000 (NET) applicable after the probation period

1. Position Purpose

The Foundation Specialist is a hands-on technical role responsible for leading the construction of high‑quality civil structures for INUMA™ mini‑grids, including foundations for public water points, elevated tanks, support structures, and manholes.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Construction & Quality Delivery

  • Execute and oversee all mini-grid foundation works.
  • Ensure structural integrity and quality standards.
  • Use jigs and tools accurately.

B. Machinery Operation & Maintenance

  • Operate mixers, vibrators, compactors, and jigs.
  • Ensure good maintenance and minimal downtime.

C. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise the team and assign tasks.
  • Monitor performance and discipline.

D. Materials & Resource Management

  • Ensure efficient use of cement, aggregates, steel.
  • Coordinate material availability and machine functionality.

E. Reporting & Problem Solving

  • Provide daily/weekly progress reports.
  • Resolve on-site challenges.

3. Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following:

  • TVET Certificate in Construction Technology or Masonry + 3 years experience
  • A2 Certificate in Construction Technology + 3 years experience
  • A1 Diploma in Construction Technology + 1 year experience
  • B.Tech in Construction Technology + 1 year experience
