Job Summary: Our client in the hospitality industry is looking for a skilled and motivated Assistant Kitchen Chef to support the kitchen operations at their rooftop restaurant and lounge. This role involves assisting the head chef in preparing high-quality dishes, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Kitchen Chef in preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards.
  • Help manage kitchen staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
  • Monitor food inventory, assist in ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cook or kitchen assistant, preferably in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Strong cooking skills and a passion for food preparation.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction from the Head Chef.
