Job Summary: Our client in the hospitality industry is looking for a skilled and motivated Assistant Kitchen Chef to support the kitchen operations at their rooftop restaurant and lounge. This role involves assisting the head chef in preparing high-quality dishes, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Kitchen Chef in preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards.
- Help manage kitchen staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
- Monitor food inventory, assist in ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cook or kitchen assistant, preferably in a high-volume restaurant.
- Strong cooking skills and a passion for food preparation.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction from the Head Chef.
