People & Talent Associate
Location and contract
Location: Remote from South Africa, Philippines or India

About the role
The People & Talent team is responsible for creating an outstanding employee experience that enables our people to thrive and deliver impact. We are not looking for a traditional HR professional. Instead, we're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is exceptionally organised, proactive and dependable, and takes pride in making sure things run smoothly.
This role is ideal for someone who loves working in the front lines, building relationships, partnering with team members, and ensuring that processes are delivered efficiently. You will work closely with the wider talent team to contribute to day-to-day people operations.
Success in this role comes from being highly organized, approachable, agile, responsive, and able to thrive with multiple priorities while maintaining a positive and service-oriented attitude. You will play an important role in partnering with departments and strengthening our people culture across the organization.
Key responsibilities
Manage and maintain accurate employee lifecycle records, including contract tracking, probation monitoring, employee documentation and compliance records
Coordinate work permit and immigration administration processes in partnership with external consultants and internal stakeholders
Oversee leave administration, including monitoring balances, compliance and responding to employee and manager queries
Serve as the team liaison for time management related queries and employee inputs, working closely with the Finance and Administration teams
Coordinate employee health insurance administration, including enrolments, amendments, coverage updates and query resolution
Maintain accurate and organized People & Talent records and documentation for both office and field teams
Administer the professional development stipend benefit and monitor utilisation across the organisation
Facilitate office team pre-onboarding activities, including compliance checks, onboarding scheduling, system access coordination and employee readiness
Coordinate volunteer administration, including onboarding, background checks and any other compliance processes
Facilitate volunteer performance management processes through the facilitator database, including tracking reviews, feedback cycles and required documentation
Manage recruitment workflows, including recruitment setup, candidate tracking, access management and reporting
Administer and monitor professional development and learning processes in accordance with organizational policies and eligibility requirements
Provide front-line guidance and coordination to employees, managers and teams across multiple countries as required
Contribute to strategic and/or operational projects focused on process improvement, systems, compliance or employee experience

Required experience and qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required
3–5 years post qualification experience
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy
Experience supporting teams across multiple locations would be an advantage
