Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of advanced nonprofit or higher education development experience leading strategic fundraising initiatives and growing diversified financial revenues and resources, preferably with organizations having no naturally affiliated constituencies
Demonstrated success in campaigns and securing major and annual gifts primarily from individuals followed by foundations and corporations
Has a history of achieving annual, measurable fundraising goals of six figures or more
Demonstrated success in working as a member of a team and developing effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and donors; while also having the ability to work independently to accomplish goals
Knowledge of both local and national philanthropic communities and businesses headquartered in region
Working knowledge of donor management software (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce)
Understanding of best practices in donor stewardship and communication
Excellent time management, project management, and organizational skills
Excellent written and oral skills
Preference given to candidates with experience in the child welfare, and/or mental and behavioral health field
