About us
The Migrants Resilience Collaborative (MRC) brings together non-profits, government agencies, industry, and technologists with the shared mission of ensuring access to social protection for those who need it the most. MRC’s impact was recognized in 2023 with catalytic investments from the prestigious TED Audacious Project. Convened by Jan Sahas at the onset of the pandemic, MRC builds on Jan Sahas’ decades of experience empowering migrant and other informal workers to implement a two-pronged strategy:
• Grassroots implementation where we work across 12 states through 1500+ last mile agents, ensuring the most vulnerable workers have access to social protection schemes.
• Systems change, where we partner with governments and market-based players to implementation, and industry, where we work with investors and real-estate companies to improve incentives and accountability towards worker welfare.
About the position
MRC’s Government Advisory team partners with government agencies to drive systemic reforms in the delivery of social security for informal workers. We are excited to launch a new partnership with the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (UPBOCW) to strengthen welfare delivery for construction workers.
As part of this partnership, we are establishing a Project Management Unit (PMU) within UPBOCW to enhance the implementation of existing schemes, drive evidence-based policy design, and enable data-driven monitoring of service delivery. As part of the PMU, the Project Associate will support stakeholder engagement, research, data analysis, and field monitoring to drive evidence-based policy improvements. The role requires strong analytical skills, field research experience, and the ability to work closely with government officials and construction workers to identify challenges and improve service delivery. The Project Associate will report to the Project Lead for the PMU.

• Report Writing & Documentation: Prepare detailed research reports, policy briefs, white papers, and presentations based on findings.
• Project Coordination: Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
