The Quality Manager will make sure our department follows all the rules set by the government and accreditation agencies. The individual will lead the Quality and Safety Management team, helping the lab operations run smoothly. You'll focus on things like organizing the lab, using resources well, fixing problems, making things better, and keeping everyone safe. Your goal is to make sure our lab meets high standards and keeps improving every day.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Communicate with vendors and service providers to collect specifications, and prepare and review comparable studies (justification of single source) of laboratory equipment, accessories, and supplies.
  • Assist in selecting, authorizing, assessing the competency, and evaluating the performance of laboratory staff.
  • Provide technical assistance for organizing the laboratory according to standard requirements.
  • Ensure proper qualification, maintenance, calibration, and validation of equipment.
  • Develop the quality and safety plan and ensure its execution to achieve excellence.
  • Guide resource personnel in establishing quality and safety management systems.
  • Provide training and techniques for meeting quality standards as well as health and safety.
  • Perform and review scheduled quality and safety performance, recommend changes, and initiate corrective or preventive actions when appropriate.
  • Assist in preparing all necessary documents and ensure their implementation.
  • Ensure internal audits and external assessments regarding standardization and accreditation processes.

Development Opportunities:

  • Provide information / reports to both the Sr. Lab Director and the Lab Director to facilitate informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • M. Sc in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Microbiology) from a reputed university.

Training:

  • Training on Medical/Clinical Laboratory Competencies (Quality and Safety).

Experience:

  • Exposure to working in a healthcare environment specializing in lab work and/or compliance.
  • 7-8 years of practical experience in compliance with Quality & Safety Management Systems and Medical Laboratory Accreditation.
