Virohan Pvt. Ltd. is a Healthcare focused Ed-Tech company training youth for careers in the healthcare sector. We aim to create India’s largest Industry demand-led edtech platform for healthcare professionals. We are funded by Blume Ventures, Rebright Partners (Japan), Elea Foundation for Ethics in Globalization (Switzerland), Artha Impact (Switzerland), Yunus Social Business (an impact fund founded by Nobel Laureate Prof. Mohammad Yunus based out of Germany), AngelList, Keiretsu Forum amongst others.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Liaison Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with state-level healthcare government bodies, including State Paramedical Councils and Departments of Medical Education. The role involves gathering information relevant to upcoming regulations, facilitating partnerships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing Virohan's mission to strengthen allied healthcare education programs.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build and sustain relationships with key officials in State Paramedical Councils and Departments of Medical Education.
• Represent Virohan in meetings, conferences, and discussions with government stakeholders.

2.Policy Advocacy & Liaison:

• Advocate for policies and reforms aligned with the Virohan model that promote the growth of allied healthcare education.
• Act as a liaison between Virohan and state healthcare regulatory bodies to address compliance and partnership requirements.

3. Program Alignment:

• Work with internal teams to align Virohan’s programs with state-level healthcare education standards and policies.
• Facilitate the approval of curricula and programs by relevant state regulatory authorities.

4.Compliance Management:

• Ensure all Virohan programs meet the legal and regulatory requirements set by state healthcare bodies.
• Monitor updates to policies or regulations that may impact Virohan’s allied healthcare programs.

5.Strategic Collaboration:

• Identify opportunities for collaboration with state governments to enhance the reach and impact of Virohan’s allied healthcare programs.
• Support the development of proposals and Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) for partnerships.

6.Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare reports on government relations activities and maintain records of interactions with government bodies.
• Document policy changes and their implications for Virohan’s operations.

Experience: (Good to have)

• 5+ years of experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or similar roles in the healthcare or education sectors.
• Proven track record of working with state-level government bodies, especially in healthcare or education.

Skills:

· Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

· Deep understanding of healthcare education policies and regulatory frameworks.

Preferred Attributes:

· Prior work experience in government ministries/ departments/ local bodies.

· Familiarity with state healthcare councils and medical education departments.

· Knowledge of allied healthcare programs and their significance in the healthcare ecosystem.

· Ability to navigate and influence complex bureaucratic processes.

· Proficiency in local language/ dialect.
