We aim to create India’s largest Industry demand-led edtech platform for healthcare professionals. What you’ll be responsible for?
- Manage the Finance & Accounts function for Virohan:
- Set up and manage the finance function across general accounting, banking, taxation, compliances / audits, and MIS / reporting
- Manage accounting operations at a corporate level including owning billing & collection at training campuses, Cost Accounting, Revenue Recognition and Cash Management
- Take ownership for budgeting & overseeing the overall financial discipline of the company
- Liaison with auditors and take ownership for audit & due diligence closures
- Own month end and year end closing processes.
- Ensure development of effective taxation strategies and plans, implement and monitor their effectiveness to minimize the tax burden
- Build Systems and Processes for Scale
- Hire, train, monitor & coach teams in the Finance Org to build a high performance culture
- Build effective control systems in a rapidly evolving and highly dynamic start-up environment, without constraining the growth potential of the company
- Create a framework for financial risk assessment, strengthen internal controls and assist in process improvement.
- Co-Ownership of Annual Operating Plan:
- Co-build & monitor the Annual Operating Plan and Quarterly rolling forecasts
- Track revenue and cost structure of the organization and proactively highlight and mitigate risks
- Balance short-term concerns and pressures, such as managing cash flow, liquidity, and profitability, and long-term vision and sustainable organizational success
- Automation & Product Development
- Co-build finance-tech stack and internal controls for financial reporting, AR & AP
- Work with product team to implement finance operations, reports and features on Virohan’s internal tech platform
- Automation of recurring processes including collections reconciliations, partner settlements etc.
An ideal candidate should have:
- Experience in similar role in a growth stage startup - building people & processes for scale
- Structured thought process - Ability to understand an objective and break it down into execution plan & timelines
- Hands-on approach - Ability to understand execution deeply with attention to detail to individual steps/ tasks
- Experience with closing books using IND-AS and ICFR
